On Wednesday I'll be at the University of Minnesota Law School, talking about my book and hopefully signing some copies. I just checked the weather forecast. 37 degrees tomorrow, 40 on Wednesday. I'll be packing a sweater. So if you're in Minnesota, come check it out. The event's at lunchtime -- Room 55 at the law school, 12:15 PM.
In other book-related news, I met for the first time last week with my paperback publisher. I'm excited to get to start all over again with promotional stuff. Yeah, I keep telling myself that. :) Also, I heard the Anonymous Lawyer audiobook last night for the first time. It's $55 on Amazon, over here. I've never bought an audiobook, so I don't know if that's the normal price of these things. The guy reading it is named Ray Porter. He's got a nice voice. My grandma is pretty thrilled by the audiobook. I think hearing someone read my book on CD makes it seem even more real to her than it being in the bookstore. Interesting.

$55 for an audiobook is a bit steep; how many discs is it?
I buy a lot of audiobooks to listen to while I drive (though lately I've been listening to those wonderful PMBR CD's) and have finally discovered that Cracker Barrel "sells" them to you at their stores, but will buy them back less $3/week once you're done. Same greatly extends my audiobook purchasing ability.
My normal price threshold for buying an audiobook is around $25-30 for 4-6 CD's of material. I spent considerably more for the PMBR discs, though, so that may have just skewed my numbers a bit.

Depending on the number of discs and the content of the book, audiobooks can reach into the low hundreds.
$55 dollars for an audiobook is usually reserved for hallowed tomes of politicians.
Most other types of audiobooks usually run at about $23.

Is Ray Porter an alias for Steve Martin?

Not an alias for Steve Martin, wish he'd chosen another name for "Shopgirl". Narrating this book was great because Jeremy is a great writer. I am especially glad to hear his grandmother was pleased, that's the best.
