There's a Washington Times article that interviews hunters, who place the blame for the shooting on Cheney (as opposed to the man he shot). Notable (sort of) because the Washington Times is super-conservative.

Regarding this post, does one have to subscribe to a certain political belief to find fault with Cheney shooting another man while hunting?

Conservatives are very capable of criticizing other conservatives when the situation merits such. I think you'll find conservatives are a very self-critical sort. The reason Trent Lott is no longer majority leader is because the Republican caucus voted him out. To cite another example, George Will ("super-conservative," I'd say) regularly criticizes the administration where he deems appropriate. See the Miers episode. Incidentally, I wonder whether we could find examples of honest self-criticism from liberals...
