Why do you ask, Jeremy?
Posted by: Diana Barry Blythe | May 03, 2006 at 05:45 PM
Diana:
I'm asking because I'm helping my publisher put together a list of well-read blogs that I can potentially reach out to about my book, maybe offer an advance copy and one to give away free to one of their readers, and hope they post about it.
(I don't know how much this is done right now -- I've read a fair number of blog posts over time about books that bloggers have received free copies of, and feel like it's happening a lot recently. On the other hand, I've received two free books from publishers in the 3 and a half years I've been blogging, and Anonymous Lawyer, who gets a lot more readers than I do here, has gotten one offer but they never sent the book, so maybe it's not happening all that much.)

I see, then perhaps you'll want a list of law-realted blogs among your list of blogs.
Here is a directory of law-related blogs:

I'm not sure how often these are read, but you can check them out.
Blonde Justice, a criminal Attorney, seems to be very popular:

Waiterrant, a blog for an anonymous waiter in NYC, gets a lot of press.

I don't know how his style will mesh with AL's though; he tends to be quiet and reflective.

The Sneeze might love the acerbic wit of AL!

You know something? I don't really know your target audience. It might help if you could tell us who you are targeting.
Apparently AL reaches the law community and beyond; that leaves a lot of target groups.
I'm guessing your targets are
1. mostly male
2. mid-20s to 50s
3. People feel undervalued or are frustrated with office politics
Is that close?
