(And after posting those two links... Casnocha's previous piece from the Journal of the American Enterprise Institute, about the invention of post-it notes and the writing of the Declaration of Independence, is also a pretty terrific read.)
The information culture article is very interesting. I feel that at some point in life, a person needs to decide whether he/she wants to learn a lot about only a few topics, or only a little bit about many topics. Especially with work and other obligations, our time is unfortunately limited.
For those like myself who have chosen the latter, the Internet provides an opportunity to
do so. I'm thankful for it.
